Numero Treize Details

Numero Treize is a 17th century cottage, built of the local white Quercy stone. It is in a perfect position at the top of the oldest part of the hill village of Montaigu de Quercy, beneath the walls of the Chateau garden and facing the church. The location is quiet, with no through traffic past the house. Our friendly neighbours are French. The sitting room is large with a dining area. Comfortable corner sofa, armchair, desk and desk chair, and dining table with four chairs. The kitchen is also spacious, with a table and chairs, washing machine, fridge, freezer, oven, ceramic hob and microwave, and all the equipment you might need to cook for a dinner party or a quick snack! Doors open off the main bedroom on to a South facing balcony, with table and chairs.  The perfect place for breakfast or lunch. This large bedroom has a romantic four poster bed, an antique French armoire and an en suite bathroom. There is also a French day bed, which is standard 3' single size. set up with lots of squashy cushions as a sofa with a 3' trundle bed beneath. The second bedroom has a king size bed, a large walk in wardrobe, and a private bathroom adjoining on the landing. Stairs on the landing take you up through the loft and into the totally private garden, again South facing, with wonderful far reaching views of the countryside.  There are four sun beds, a table and chairs and a barbecue. The house has a wood burning stove and electric heating in every room. FREE WIFI FOR guests.

The house is my second home, and is furnished with antiques, paintings and oriental rugs.  The china, kitchen equipment, bed linen etc. are all of the highest standard. We purchased the house after a bad experience in a gite where everything was shabby, chipped or just uncomfortable. We really believe that you will be comfortable here.

CHILDREN AND DOGS: We accept children over 10. Under this age, we do not consider the garden is suitable for children. However, if you consider your children will be safe, we are open to discussion. We accept dogs at £25 PER DOG PER WEEK but they must have their own bed, not be allowed on furniture or beds, nor be left in the house or garden unattended at any time.

CLEANING; We do not charge a cleaning fee, but expect the house to be left as you found it, i.e. clean with fridge/freezer empty and cleaned, beds stripped and linen, together with towels, placed in the laundry bin. Rubbish, including glass must be removed. If you do not wish to clean the house before leaving, our housekeepers may be able to take on the task, and we can put you in touch with them directly to arrange.
